my vet said that the kennel cough vaccine is like the flu shot.. you can get the shot.. and a month later STILL get the flu because there are different strands of the flu and the shot doesn't cover all of them. Layla has never had the shot but has had kennel cough. it was the worst thing ever but i'm still not sure i would give her the shot as she has very bad reactions to vaccines.
