You can do this! It's in her best interest. SAbrina's 10 now and she was so small (just 5 lbs. now) that the vet wouldn't do it. He said she was too little. Now every darn time I go in he says "why didn't we spay her?" and I have to remind him. He says well now we have good stuff to put them out with that wouldn't hurt her. Fine - but now she's old enough it would be just as bad for her I think. I really worry. If/when I get another one - I'm having it done.
Just drop her off - get a buddy to go shopping with you like I did during the teeth cleaning fiasco - kept my mind off of it, and then pick her up and be ready to baby her through it. Poor little things. They just don't understand the things we do to them to make them healthy.
