Bella didnt get a lot of treats her first 10 months. I did give her plenty of plush toys though! Her breeder started her on Royal Canine (RC) and at 10 months old i weaned her from the puppy recipe to the one made for yorkies.
She has never had any problems with it. She has not itched, had dry or flakey skin and has never chewed at her feet. Her vet is very pleased with her weight and her coat is shiney! She poops a small amount about an hour after she eats. Her right ear fell while she was teething but i gave her puppy vitamins with calcium just for extra support and it popped up about 5 weeks later. I have looked at other brands and so far am happy with RC.

When bella was a pup i used her kibble to train her. She always wanted food when she was little! Since they eat so little, I tried to give nutrient dense food. I would not use treats to train her because I wanted every bite to count. If i switch to another food...it will most likely be organic..but i am still researching!
