Well, we picked up Coco yesterday from the "breeders." Unfotunately I use that term loosly. What is the deal with dog breeders? How come it is so hard to find good ones?

Turns out, we were not able to see the parent dogs, because they were her sister's dogs. Kinda confused as to why the puppies were being sold at one sisters house, but bred at anothers. We did see pictures of the parents. Several pictures so I think they are the real parents, and they were really healthy looking dogs and the house looked really nice.

She did go into another room twice while we were there. The first time she went was to get some food for us to take. Coco was eating Purina Puppy Chow (YES! It was watered down in her bowl! Whomever asked that, how did you know?) but we will be weaning her to eat Natural Choice Ultra, as that is what Rocco eats.

I only heard one dog barking. It was coming from her bedroom, and I asked who it was and she said that was HER male yorkie but she did not offer to bring him out. She was really really sick- bad flu- and she said the dog wanted to lay on her and play and she didn't have the energy. I found this a bit strange because if I were sick and was just going to lounge on the couch all day, I couldn't imagine anything better than having my puppy and my cats lay all over my and get all cozy!

So.....then she goes in that other room again and comes back with this teeny tiny poodle. I'm sorry but I was NOT impressed. Why did she have this dog if she raises yorkies? It was only 1lb and she said it was 4 months and would only be 2lbs. She called it a party poodle and then it had diharea. It was time to get out of there!

Yes, of course we took the puppy. The place was questionable, but it was clean and tidy and the puppy looks very healthy. She has a full set a nice strong white teeth, very thick coat of black and tan hair, clear eyes, no cough or mucas coming from her nose at all, pink tounge. Plus- and this made me kinda sad remembering Rocco at this age- she was so STURDY! It's hard to explain this but Rocco could barely hold himself up with his legs. His knees slid in and out, his little feet were like feathers. Even now, his teeth are nothing like this dog's.

I will try to take pics of Coco today if Sarah brings her over. She lives in the apartment upstairs and one over.

Here is my Rocco about two weeks ago:

And trying to nurse the cat, Tink, a couple days later. Poor baby missed his mom!
