Now as for the turning problem; I've been giving that a thought. I know that when he walks, his front legs kind of cross over, so it would be very hard for him to achieve a change of direction using them. However, what if the front wheels were more like those on a skate board - they never actually turn, but are attached in such a way that weight or leaning, causes a change of direction?? So, if Babybear leaned slightly to the right, the cart would then turn in that direction? You would have to ask Eddie if this would be feasible. Just an idea mind you, I am not sure this would work. Also, it would not be effective if the wheels "swiveled" like those of a grocery cart, because Babybear is NOT capable of THAT degree of control, and it could cause him to either go in a circle, or make a very sudden change of direction that could hurt those fragile bones.
Val, his video is just so very encouraging. I know that all this little guy needs is YOU. What you have done for him is nothing short of amazing.
How's the sinus infection? Hope those meds banished it totally and that you had a great weekend.
Big, big hugs,

I am beginning to look at it this way. He has only been in the cart for 15 days and not every day either. He was in it for about 20 minutes on Saturday because I could not take him out we had a very bad storm here. And I have been trying every other day outside weather permitting. So he has not been in his cart 15 days straight he has been in about 6 to 7 times. That is very good for that many days of training. I have seen a little pug named Daisy that is on you tube that has a front wheeled cart her owner has a trainer training her to use her cart every other day and the days she is not with the trainer her owner is working with her. She is also very front strong meaning she can pick the cart up and jump. HMM that would be a joy.lol But for him to be as far as he is right now with no trainer but me. I think he has done pretty good. I will be working with him alway. I am looking for some nice warm booties for him for winter. So we can go out in the winter time. I am also going to try to make something that will go around his cart to keep him warm in the winter time. I do not want him cold. I have got him a new snow suit but do not know if he will fit in this cart with it on. So I am excited to see what he will be doing in a month. That will be a treat. I remember last year I was wishing for him to walk for me for Christmas. Well, I guess I got my wish early this year.
And my meds are finally starting to work. They are causing a head ache but I can breath. I can bend down without my nose running. And I do not need a tissue in my hand 24/7. I actually slept through the night last night no waking to take benydril. I was thrilled until my husband woke me at 6:30 to tell me to get up so we could go say good bye to his parents before they left for Florida. Today was my day off. I was going to get some rest. I guess not.lol
Big hugs to you Lauren.
