I agree with the BREEDERS on here who say that a good breeder will never guarantee a weight. Yes, breeders should know their lines and NO they cannot judge one litter by another..So, I would say to buy the pupy tat has chosen you OR not take either and look for a puppy that is older and nearer its adult weight already. My dogs have never produced a 6 pound puppy/adult but that is not to say they won't..And, it is not to say that they will not produce a 2 2 1/2 pounder.. The largest puppy I ever had was an only child male. He weighed 6 ounces at birth-Lordy he looked like a Rottie he was so big. As an adult, he is a perfect 4.8 pounder with wonderful conformation. He lives with a puppy from a show kennel that looks the world like a giraffe..
