I agree that the pups need to be separated from mom. I usually start soft food (dry food soaked in water) at about 4 weeks old (or when they seem ready). I have a litter of 6 week old Yorkie-Poo-Poms that have been eating on their own wet and dry food since last Thursday. Mom is nowhere near them anymore. I look for when mom stops cleaning up after them (the poop) as the sign that it is close to the time to separate her from her pups.
