I just googled "spelt" and it says it is sort of like wheat. Spelt is usually used for livestock feed but is gaining popularity with people.

Garlic in treats (or in food in very small amounts) should be okay. It can cause anemia, so it is good not to give it at all but a little shouldn't hurt. I would give it in treats occasionally and think really hard before giving it in food (although good companies like Innova use it).

Buddy Biscuits are the only dog treat Ellie gets. I am about to pull those though since they are still dog food and could be recalled. We have tried the sweet potato ones and the molasses ones.
