Not saying anything bad...so please dont take it that way, but the link you posted...to the right is the same exact story but they were there when it happened. Just thought I'd point that out.

Now I think it is all about opinion. I think a harness and a collar could both be dangerous, but I can hear Barneys tags on his collar and so can my guest so I am sure it has saved him from being stepped on. We have and use all 3, a collar, leash, and harness. We did the same for Odie and it worked well for us and our dogs.
