This is true. Fleas can not swim. The thing about the no bag vacuum cleaners is your just pouring the live fleas into the trash and they can hop out. Put the contents into a kitchen trash bag and tie it tight then toss it into the outside trash container.
I'd call the Vet and check on the bombs. I hope you get rid of them soon.
