There is this stuff I got once from a shoe repair store. It was a dry cleaner (solvent) for leather (shoes, purses, jackets, etc.). Anyway, my mother-in-law had passed down a bag to me. I can't remember the brand, but it was one of those quilted leather ones, in a cream color (it wasn't Chanel).

Anyway, it had this spot on there that she could never get out. I used this stuff on it, and it looked like new.

So for your leather bags, I would recommend dropping by a shoe repair store and looking for something called dry cleaner for leather or something like that.
