Absolutely!! I know everyone gets tired of hearing me say it ... but ... I cannot stress it enough ... if you have a baby like ours and really care about it, you have to be very selective in your vet!! A good, reputable vet will not mind your questions regarding experience with various breeds and you should find out before the vet ever touches your pet!! The treatment/medication for our little quys is much different than other pets ... most medication as well as anesthesia has to be a much smaller dose, etc. I am not so stupid as to think that it is impossible for things as tragic as this to occasionally happen ... but it could have been caused by a simple matter of too much anesthesia!! We should do our "homework"!!! If our courts won't hold them responsible then we should do what we can to protect our little ones.
