99% of the time, he'll sit out there till the fires died down so there's not a chance that a "spark" would blow out the pit onto the grass and burn our house down...

However, the good thing, is that we don't have a tree right on top of it. Still doesn't make it okay...

Anyway, I would go talk to the neighbors first before I go to the "town" ppl.

Geez you made me even more nervous, lol. I didnt even thinkign about a spark flying out of the fire pit when they decide to go in for the night- thats even more scary to think about.
