 Here we go again
I have two male yorkies that tried to do the same thing, I live in an apartment as well. I was watching the Animal Planet show, "you good dog you" one Sunday morning and they discussed this very issue. I tried it and it works. Go to your cheapest discount store (like the 99 cent store) and pick up clear stick antiperspirant. Rub over all the areas that the dogs like to chew. I guarantee your dog will take one taste and will never try it again. I only had to apply once and to be sure I keep it on about every 6 months or so and my boys hate it and will not chew anything that has been rubbed with the stick! I have told this to many YT's and they have all had success with this method, plus it is not messy and does not show! I even used this on the edges of my area rug as they loved to chew it. Stopped them cold. At Petco they carry a stick packaged similar to the antiperspirant and it is called "Stay Away Stick" and it has the same ingredients and they charge $10 for it! Try it, I know that it will work. It has been almost a year since my boys have chewed anything that they are not supposed to. |
