I've never understood why anyone would buy a dog, only to chain them up in the backyard all the time. I've seen it so many times! They bring a dog home and it stays chained outside, and the only human contact the dog has is when they bring him food/water. Or, maybe the owner will occassionally yell out to tell the dog to stop barking. I hate it, and I don't understand the purpose of them buying a dog in the first place.
