I suppose it depends on how cold it gets where everyone lives as to how they have their dogs hair. Were I live we don't get very many really cold days and of course no snow at all. I kept Azrael in a very short cut around her entire body which looks so good on her, but with the chance of us going to Alaska this winter, I'm letting the hair grow out. I'm sure the ones who live in the snow states probably don't cut their dogs hair short.
