i'm not sure if this is the same thing as a luxating patella which is a slipped knee cap. There are various stages of this 1-4. It is when their knee caps slip out of place and dont' come back on their own... in stage 1 (Layla has stage 1) they will pop back on their own however many people on here have had dogs who get to stage 3 and 4 and they need surgery to fix this.
