Another little trick I saw on tv. When you pet a dog on the top of their head it encourages them to jump up. Scratch them on their chest. It brings their head and attention downward. I do this when I meet new dogs. It works. |
Yeah, I'd agree. I honestly haven't tried to teach this one because the people I invite over all like dogs, lol. But I've heard that you should teach a good sit-stay and make them stay while guests come in and sit down before you release them. Good luck.
