Okay...the last time I was here I asked to find a Yorkie under $500 and that last last time I asked to find a Yorkie in Mexico. Well, the Mexican breeder I was recommended never replied to my email.

Now, I've been looking for a puppy in Guadalajara, but I'm not convinced about what I have seen. So, I decided to change my criteria a bit. This is what I am looking for:
I'm looking for a small female puppy. I'm asking for a tiny one, not because I want a cool new fashion accessory, but because I will be traveling a lot by plane the next few years and the last thing I want to do is put a larger baby in a crate for a long time. I only have so much space under the seat where a crate has to fit. I would preferably like a breeder in California, but considering the prices in my state, I wouldn't mind working with a good breeder who ships their puppies. My price range is preferably between the $800-900 range, but that looks to be near impossible, so anything that's not outrageous, like $2,200, which is what a 2lb baby was going for in Guadalajara. $1,000 sounds good.
I want a well breed Yorkie who comes close to the breed standard; small nose, small pointy years, silky blue and black coat. I want a stunning Yorkie that will have heads turnig when we're out for a walk.

I want a companion to keep me company...this is the first time I'm away from home from my family, so it gets kind of lonely.

I'm not interested in breeding, especially not a tiny female. I am also looking for health! That's a major plus. So if anyone knows of any good breeders they have worked with, etc. please let me know. So far, the puppies I have seen here and the prices (all of them are advertised as Tea cups...yes, that phrase is used in Mexico too and "bolsillo" or purse puppies) are awful. If I'm going to spend a lot of money I want something stunning, not a Chihuahua Yorkie mix disguised as a purebred Yorkie. Well, thanks everyone and sorry for the long post.
