We visited a breeder in North Alabama yesterday and we were discussing breeding. I assured her that I had no intention of breeding our new puppy. Sophie's mom almost died during delivery and had to have a C-section.
The breeder simply said "Never, ever breed your family pet."
Too many things can happen to it. I didn't even know how many things could go wrong until I read the post above.
This breeder had a family pet which lived in her home, and then she had her 'breeders' which lived in their kennel with attached playyard. |
