I'm not a breeder, but I do know enough to know that they should never be allowed to breed without someone with them at all times. They can get seriously injured.

My advice is to read all you can before you try anything like this again. If the female is not pregnant, please don't try again until you have researched everything. There is so much involved. How much does the female weigh and how big is your male? That is very very important.
