You should have done all this research before you even considered breeding him. I can't believe that someone who doesn't even know how the breeding process works is breeding their dog. A dog's penis has a bulbous glandis that will swell inside the vagina, and the female's vaginal muscles hold that bulb tightly into place so that the ejaculate stays inside. They will normally stay tied for 10-45 minutes...or longer sometimes. There is NOTHING you can do to untie them until the female's muscles relax and allow the penis to pull out. You can SERIOUSLY hurt the female by forcing them apart and can definitely injure the male too. Also, breeders should be with the female and male when they breed, holding them so that the female doesn't drag the male around....he is helpless while tied to her. Can you imagine how badly that could hurt him with her rolling around and pulling him around? There is a LOT one needs to know before they consider breeding...I really hope you'll wait to breed your boy again until you do all your research. He needs to be evaluated to make sure he meets the Yorkie standard and is suitable for breeding, be tested for all genetic issues, and be cleared of STDs...same for the female.
