I can't say that I've ever had a runt though I have a one week old gal that is currently 3 oz. smaller than her brothers. She's just as strong as they are and will not let them push her off her teat. She's no runt.
I agree with U ladyhawk. I had 3 girls with our last litter that weighed 5.2 oz. so how do U gather a runt from them being the same weight? LOL. Our smallest male weighed: 5.0 oz. And now he is as big as our Biggest one that weighed: 5.8 oz. I'm like U all my babies has "Thank God Above" been born at a healthy weight and none have been sick. I think that means the world to me then the "RUNTS". Everyone that calls on our babies ASK for the "RUNT". I want "Healthy" Not little. But if we ever had a "Little One" then that's "God's Will" not done by us! I love all babies no matter their size. Big or Little.
