Just to give another suggestion...I used a container for the whelping..something like the under the bed storage container you would use....then after Diva had her baby and cleaned herself and the baby, I moved them to a (kennel) crate I already had...made for a great nursery...I put a throw cover over top for privacy...the door can be opened or closed...it's actually quite cozy...I've attached a pic...After the baby is really walking around, I'll probably move to a baby gate in a sectioned off area of the living room or for the kitchen....
