Pop his harness on, let him get used to that and then attach the lead. Just let him drag it around the house first (obviously while you supervise). Then once he's ok with that, pick the lead up and encourage him to walk by tempting him with food or a toy. Praise him gently as he walks and give him his reward. If you start now he'll get the hang of it soon enough
