I would caution everyone ... be careful ---not everyone is Mother Teresa Another lesson I learned ...
in my school we always took up collections for people when their parents or spouses passed away .or when babies were born .. or even for the Red Cross ...
each class made contributions for Red Cross,
and each teacher contributed towards flowers for deaths and other things for joyous occasions .......
The person making the request for the donations always sent the donation in to the Red Cross, or Penny Harvest, or others, in HER name and it became HER tax deduction ....
On flowers and such, all names were put on the card but whoever initiated the collection put her name BIGGER and more prominently placed ... I know because I was on the receiving end a few times. Lovely gesture I agree ... but I also noticed those who cared, send singular cards and made donations to whatever organization the death was affiliated with.
Suggestions can be made on here as well ... it does not have to be a group thing. I have done things on my own here, and hopefully, it is not necessary, but if i feel like it I still shall ... but I shall be more cautious ...
So many on YT are generous of heart and funds ... too many have horror stories ... "gifting" is nice, do it on your own. no one needs to know except the recipient ... then it is grandstanding ... not once did Janell 'grandstand' ...
I hope this made sense ... |
