Watch for her to get really nervous and hyper, elevated heart beat.
I hate to admit this, but I had a scare last year. I had my dad's dog, cocker, Alphy and Abby. They had gotten into a bag of Hershey dark chocolate miniture bars. The kids called me about it. Of course i got kid like answers when I tried to question them about it, how long has it been, how much, etc. I had hoped Abby 70+lbs got more then the smaller ones just for the fact she could tolerate it more then the other 2. Of course I flew home and found thrown up wrappers. I was panicked. About 10 minutes later Alphy started running laps around the house so I knew he'd gotten to it too (about an hour after digestion). His heart was beating mile a minute too. I immediately gave both Alphy and Lucky (cocker) peroxide and they instantly vomited. It was gross and then I gave them both activated charcoal to absorb the rest. Thankfully they were ok.
It's scary. Alphy is 9lbs and yours is way littler, but it doesn't sound like she ate enough but just keep a close eye on her.
Big hugs because I totally know how you feel. |
