Oh my gosh Carol, that is scary.
Buddy is trying to tell you something. But I truly think there was a "presence" in that area. By that I mean a spirit, or something like that.
My sister's dog would not stay in her basement by himself. He would cry and whine and act scared down there when he was by himself and he never did that anywhere else.
