I think rabies shots are horrible, dangerous and unnecessary (unless your dog is outside with birds or wildlife a lot) but my opinion doesn't count since the law would be involved if I didn't give it. I don't know if the one year or three year is better but Ellie gets the three year.

I am not saying that I think dogs should get bordetella twice a year. Mine doesn't get it at all but then again she is rarely around other dogs. It is just that it doesn't last for a full year. That is why you will see some people give it twice a year.

Most vets do give shots all at once but it is your call whether you allow them to do that. If you don't like the idea, tell them. They are working for you.
