I totally feel your pain. I don't want to hijack your thread, but I have a cable story too --
I recently had to have a cable man over because I wasn't getting the same channels in my daughter's room that I had in the living room and one of them was one of the 24 hour cartoon channels that she likes and I can't take a steady diet of. Anyway, I tried on 3 different occassions to have someone come out and they never did. Then I finally called and told them send someone or I will cancel my service and so they said someone would come by 4. Well at 6:30 in the evening, he came out and come to find out, the cable running from the wall was bad. So he's quizzing me about who hooked it up and telling me that it is all wrong and they never use that quality and basically chewing me out, and I was like hey, I paid for one of your company's guys to come out here and hook that up, so if it's wrong it is the company's fault, not mine. I finally said, hey just fix it and we'll worry about the rest later. So, it takes him 1 hour and a half to replace the cable line from the wall to the TV.

That's because his phone kept ringing and he was fussing with his girlfriend. I was so frustrated!

Then, I got a bill for $40 for him coming hook it up "right" when I already paid them $20 to hook it up and they were the ones who hooked it up wrong in the first place!!

I finally got that taken off my bill, but still. I pay $100 a month for 100 channels + HBO (hubby says we can't live without HBO

) and I think it is just ridiculous. I'm seriously thinking about going to Satellite because it is so much cheaper, but I'm just afraid they won't work right. I've heard they don't work when it is cloudy and stuff. I don't know if that is true or not.
