I have a client with two standard poodles that drives almost 60 miles one way every three weeks to get her dogs done and has for the last twelve years. Well Mason the oldest one is about to leave us and go to heaven soon as he has cancer, so they bought a third poodle. So last Saturday in all three came. Well Charlie the puppy, decided he didn't want to stay in a kennel while I did his older brothers so we let him run around the shop. I worked as fast as I could and had all three done in about 4 hours. When Leslie picked the boys up I told her Charlie was going to sleep well tonight, he was so tired from all his playing around the shop. She sent me a e-mail the next day and said he just crashed when he got home. Not only did he play for a long time he had to stand on the table and get scissored. It was a very big day for the boys. And my body will never be the same....

There can be many reasons why dogs sleep when they get home , just standing on a grooming table for an hour can wear them out, and most groomers are not that fast.
