I would just gently caution you to remember that all health care is an ART, not just a science. What a vet recommends could mean everything, or it could mean nothing - and all the shades in between.
That is why one has to educate themselves, and not just take another human being's recommendation on blind faith in their diploma on the wall.
I'm a nurse and we have a joke in the medical field that goes like this: "What do you call the person who graduates at the bottom of their medical school class?"
...."A DOCTOR!!"
...just bear that in mind....the same goes with all vets, and all 'experts' of anything, for that matter.
