We had big dogs all my life and they wouldn't start barking til 6 months or so and they continued barking because people would laugh and think it was cute. However, when we got our yorkie at 7 weeks he already barked and he barks a lot. I think it's because his mommy and daddy barked so he learned from them.
Plus he's super smart. :-)
