Maximus will growl and bark if we are walking and I don't allow him to bound over to the other dog and/or person...lol..he can't contain his excitement but he also doesn't realize that some dogs aren't that nice and will hurt him
...and some people aren't that nice and don't want to be bothered with him (this he takes very personally)...lol!!..I found that it is best to hols him in a situation where he will be seeing lots of other dogs (store environment) because he doesn't make a peep.
