And you know what? She should say welcome to the breeding world. It doesn't always go the way we plan. She deserves a stud fee... wether it's payment or a puppy from the litter. That should have been decided before the breeding took place. If there was a verbal agreement that she would receive a puppy, then she needs to stress upon that.

Back to the costs of raising the puppies, c-section, etc. Yes, it is expensive. If she has had litters before, she knew that.
