I think - sometimes parents and grandparents just want to talk to you. Maybe she is trying to find something you would be interested in. You can do the same for them. It is surprising all the things they have been through in their lifetime, all the changes in this world. I miss my 'nana and papa' very much; but I do remember having to remind them several times - 'NOT IN FRONT OF THE KIDS'. They still had a tendency to use 'words' which are no longer acceptable.
I even remember my grandmother telling this joke to the boys about god. When she says the punchline - I was like - KIDS - go outside. NANA - you can't say that stuff, they don't even get it and I can't explain it to them. |
