OK, Watson is almost 5 months old and I've saw him do this quite a few times. In the middle of him peeing, he will reach around and start "cleaning" himself before he is done going. I've tried clapping my hands to try to get his attention away from doing this but it only spooks him and then he runs off the pad before he's done. He is my first dog, are things like this with puppies common? Is it just a dog thing and he'll eventually realize "hey, that doesn't taste good"? I miss the puppy kisses, but I'm not going to get them after that!!! Any suggestions??
