My little ones spend one about 5 hours alone in the house. When I return, they each demand a hug, then outside. 'Round and 'round the yard; into the house; up on the sofa and down again; then outside to jump back and forth over a Yorkie-sized 8" hedge. Exactly what they need. You are absolutely right. There is no catching them when they are on a "tear." After all they are terriers!
