My mom's little boy is so used to wearing them that when he comes in from outside he waits by the door and stretches out for my mom to put his belly band on. He actually likes it.
I like to use elastic on mine, cause when they lay down it can itch up over his sprinkler. Just sew a little strip at the top and bottom. If you sew the ends slanted, they won't curl up either. Like the others have said, they are very easy to do. And if you are in a pinch, tie a sock around it
