Honestly, it's not complicated.. My boys from ages 9 to 14 easily picked it up. I was a little nervous when I first tried, but it is really simple, and the looms come with illustrated instructions for the basic stitch. A sweater would take less than a skein of yarn for a yorkie, and there are some super cute yarns out there. When I am done with my puppy sweater I will post pics.
There is a website called
www.chihuahua-people.com (just like YT) and there are many old threads about their knitting loom adventures and pictures of gorgeous sweaters that were made in an afternoon. That was my initial motivation to try, because they said it was so simple.
