I got my baby Layla from my sister-in-law YT crb in Dec. 2006, she was my Christmas present to myself and has been the best gift ever. She is my love!!! I am a mother of 3 girls.......Crystal 24, Amanda 21, Sami Jo 19.
Amanda is off in Austin at school, Sami just started school to become a RN. My oldest Crystal was born with a very rare syndrome 10q Trisomy and is still at home with me, the doctors told us she would not live this long., she is physical & mentally handicapped......She is my Angel from God!! We have been in & out of the hospital since August this year fighting a bone infection from hardware that was put in her foot from a surgery back 2004 and then a blood infection, we almost lost her Sept 18........the scares day of my life. With lost of prays we are on the road to recovery now!!
We are still back in forth to Austin weekly to doctors. YT has been a blessing I have sat in the hospital room for many days reading YT on my laptop, she was at the new Childrens hospital in Austin. She gets to go to the childrens hospital because of her size, she is very tiny for her age............Boy could you tell I needed to talk!!!! I don't sleep much due to a lot of stress right now, so when everyone is asleep I am on YT.
My Layla brings me such job and happiness always right by my side and will lick my tears away when I need a good old cry and boy I have need them a lot lately.
I love to dress my Layla, one day when I do figure it out I will post pics of her all dress up. I would have loved to be in this years GE but right now do not have the money to do it............hopefully next year!!!!

What a beautiful story - your love for your daughter and family radiated rigth through the computer screen. I have a daughter with some special needs and several spinal surgeries, but nothing that she hasn't learned to live with or that has threatened her life yet. So while I can't "compare", I can appreciate how your life wasn't how you'd scripted it. But in some unexpected ways, it was better, wasn't it?
