A 5 almost 6 month old puppy IS still a baby and is nowhere near done learning. I have an 8 1/2 month old and still consider him a baby. Remember, you have only just got this puppy so the house training starts now, just because he is a little older it doesen't mean he will be quicker to learn where to go potty than a younger puppy.
