Very picky.

Honestly, I wouldn't let one of mine go to a home w/ a Pit Bull.

As far as the children factor, depends on the size of the dog and the child. I'm not going to neccessarily turn away someone because they have children, but then again, I have to feel comfortable with the situation the dog would be going into. I would really scrutinize how the child acted around the dogs at my house and if it seem to be their natural action, or because of the nearby parents' constant reminders about how to handle the dogs.
I have a 6 yr old child who has been around Yorkies for most of her life, so I know that not all children pose a threat.
