Yes, you have to eat your 20 points per day.
Other things
2-3 cups of milk per day
5 fruits and veggies per day
6 cups of water per day
They did away with the 20 minutes a day walking requirement, but you can earn more points based on the number of minutes you walk. I don't have the activity slider nearby. Maybe Janet has hers and can tell you how many minutes you have to walk for each point...
Activity points have to be used the same day, but flex points can be used any time in the week. (seems all the same to me, 6 of one, half dozen of the other, but that's the way they say it has to be done
