Some lady from a shelter called my dad about Rusty. She was SO psychotic. She was telling us not to give him to a pound (no, really?) and she was like "Oh I don't think giving a little dog to someone 3 states away is a really good idea." Yes well...that's nice. That's where she's going.

Shelter people can be wonderful people, but others are know-it-alls and I can't stand the ones like that.

We're have to keep our house for a while (my other cousin is probably going to buy it). So in the absolute worst situation, he'd have to hang out here during the day.
i know that giving him to a shelter is that last thing you probably want to do, but I'm just saying that IF it comes down to that, which it probably won't, you shuld bring him to RBARI. It's in Oakland and a no-kill shelter and they're great over there, I just started volunteering there maybe a month ago. I know you probably won't, but I'm just saying that if you run out of options, you can try giving them a call and see if they have room. same goes for your cats, even though they would probably do Ok hanging around your old house until you found them a home.
