I have seen many yorkies in the show ring that look larger than 7 lbs and I have never seen a scale brought out to weigh them.

Good-luck with AKC as they will almost ask for proof before they investigate a breeder! I placed a male in Michigan as a pet on limited registration, they tampered with the paperwork and whited out the limited box and gain full registration on the dog. It took me over a year to get AKC to pull the full registration on the dog and all of its off springs! I have been told by many people that they are still using him for breeding and using another males AKC Registration to register the puppies under! I have called AKC numerous time and they keep telling me I need proof..

I personally would suggest that you ask the breeders to have both the sire and the dam DNA and then DNA both puppies and see what happens! JMO.
