The whole reason for leaving the testicles as they are developing is that the testosterone has a role in growth, especially rate of growth in the bones & closure of growth plates. It's not a big deal to neuter early in small dogs because they don't have to grow much, but in a Great Dane it would be a big deal. Neutering early in big dogs can cause the male to become leggy... But the fact that you are using this shot to counteract testosterone does the exact same thing to his development as neutering does - it stops the testesterone and has the same effect on growth. I just don't see the point of this shot
