I know hubby loves him very much but he also gets very mad at him when he does this. And the little terror doesn't seem to care. It's like there is no stopping him. How long should he be left in pen?

I would put him in the pen until he calms down. Something like laying down or playing gently with one of his toys in his pen. Good luck and I hope that you will have one of these plans work. Another suggestion that I did when my little girl was doing this a couple years ago was when she would bite I would pull back my hand like I was hurt and say ouch and start to cry. They hate that. They never want to hurt you so they hate this. Put on the best acting performance for about 10 seconds and then walk away. I think that you will see a change in additude. Good luck again.
