Welcome to YT! Plentiful amount of knowledge around here! As far as biting, my Kobi did that too and it drove me NUTS. I felt like I tried everything, but then one day I just said, oh, he finally quit chewing. I think it's just a baby thing and while it may be annoying, it most likely will go away eventually...just my 2 cents
