i have maggie trained with the bells. it was quick and very effective!! every single time i would take her out, i would make her ring the bells. i would take her little paws and ring the bells with them. i remember her sitting there playing with the bells...and every time she would hit them, i would scoot her butt outside she finally caught on. she realized that if she wanted to go out...she rang the bells. if she didn't...she doesn't touch them LOL
